Propak Volunteers at Second Harvest Food Bank Event

On Wednesday, April 29, Propak employees from our Nashville and Smyrna, TN offices joined together to volunteer at the Friends of the Food Bank event. Friends of the Food Bank was established in April 2014 to strengthen Second Harvest Food Bank’s connection with young professionals in the Middle Tennessee community. Their mission is to engage opportunities to create long-term advocated, donors and volunteers in the fight against hunger.

Second Harvest collects, sorts and distributes food and personal care products to over 450 partner agencies (Soup kitchens, shelters, foster care facilities, etc.) throughout 46 Middle and West Tennessee Counties. At the Friends of the Food Bank Event, Propak volunteers helped sort and pack food donations and prepare BackPacks for hungry children.

Our employees also participated in Walmart’s #WeSparkChange campaign. Participation is easy and fun- round up 6 of your friends, family or co-workers and share your smiles then post on social media and hashtag #WeSparkChange. For every post shared, Walmart has agreed to donate $10, up to $1,500,000, to Feeding America.

Great Job Propak Tennessee volunteers! Let’s keep up the good work!
